Hoodies: Analytical Sketcing - 25 points

Artist are sometimes overwhelmed by the complexity of what they see. It looks too complicated to draw. However, when artists take to the time to analyze what they are observing, they notice that it is made up of simple geometric shapes. They know if they can draw circles, triangles and squares they can draw anything.

Analytical sketching is the technique of looking for the geometric shapes found in real objects, drawing the geometric shapes in proportion and lastly adding the detail.

For this assignment you will be doing a series of hoodie drawing beginning with the geometric shapes. Get them in proportion. Then add the curvy lines that make the shapes look like hoodies or pants.

REMEMBER: BEGIN with the geometric shapes.

Sketch #1

1. Draw these shapes. Try to size them accurately.
2. Add the detail lines.
3. Erase the geometric shapes.

Sketch #2

1. Draw these shapes. Try to size them accurately.

3. Erase the geometric shapes.
